Amarnath Yatra 2023 to Commence On July 1, Registrations To Begin From April 17
On July 1, the yearly pilgrimage to the sacred site of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir is slated to start. The trek will last 62 days this year. On August 31, the Amarnath Yatra will come to an end. The announcement in this regard was made by Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha on Friday.

Both online and offline registration options are available for followers to sign up for the yatra. Registration for the trip will start on April 17 both online and offline.
“Hassle-free pilgrimage is the top priority of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji. The administration will provide best-in-class healthcare and other essential facilities to all the visiting devotees and service providers,”
Notably, telecom services are apparently going to start operating before the trip begins. The smooth operation of the Amarnath Yatra would be ensured by coordinated efforts from all stakeholder departments, Sinha further stated. Sinha further stated, “Govt is committed to ensure smooth, hassle free pilgrimage. We will provide best-in-class healthcare and other essential facilities to all the visiting devotees and service providers.”
The Yatra would commence simultaneously from the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and Baltal in the Ganderbal district. Notably, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) will live telecast the morning and evening Aarti at the Amarnath Shrine for devotees at home. Shri Amarnathji Yatra’s App has also been made available on the Google Play store.
Basharat Qayoom, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Anantnag, visited the Yatra Transit Camps at FCI Godown Mir Bazaar and Walnut Factory Qazigund on Wednesday to take an extensive inventory of the arrangements and facilities that will be provided for pilgrims participating in Yatra-2023. He also ordered the provision of parking lots with adequate lighting facilities and high-quality restrooms in the required numbers at all locations, according to an official statement.
