Chandra Grahan 2022: Timings, precautions and do’s and don’ts

The annular solar eclipse is the third eclipse of 2021 and will be visible in the night sky of selected countries in the Northern Hemisphere. The eclipse is also known as the ‘ring of fire’ eclipse and is expected to be visible in India. The eclipse will begin at 21:17 GMT and end at 24:51 GMT.

The entire eclipse will be visible from some parts of Greenland, the Arctic, Russia, China and Mongolia. The partial eclipse will also be visible from Europe, North and West Asia, North and East Australia, most of North America and some parts of South America. The eclipse will not be visible in India, but the partial eclipse will be visible in the north-eastern parts of the country.

Chandra Grahan 2022 Date and Time

The annular solar eclipse will take place on May 10, 2022. It will begin at 21:17 GMT and end at 24:51 GMT. In India, the eclipse will begin at 1:47 am IST on May 11 and end at 5:21 am IST. The eclipse will be visible in the north-eastern parts of the country.
